The response from the Green Party: 15/05/02

Thank you for your email. You have my complete support on this issue. It is unacceptable that charities have to pay millions in Euros in VAT when this could be used for charitable purposes. If re-elected I will make this issue a priority.

Good to hear from you. This has been long standing Green Party policy that we have mentioned in several of our pre-budget submissions. Trevor Sargent has had much involvement with the Irish Charities Tax Reform group. We are committed to seeing that this change is brought about.
