ICTRG’s 12th Annual Conference & AGM – “Giving
for Good
– supporting charities through tax reform”
– The Gresham 30th September 2003
ICTRG’s 12th Annual Conference Giving for Good, supporting charities
through tax reform will be held on Tuesday 30th September at the Gresham,
Dublin. We are very pleased that the conference is once again supported
by Triodos Bank (ethical bank www.triodos.co.uk).
The focus of this year’s conference is on how government taxation
policy can increase resources to the sector through removing existing
tax burdens and stimulating new forms of giving. The keynote address will
be given by David Begg, Secretary General of ICTU.
VAT is still the greatest tax burden on Irish charities - the conference
will highlight the human cost of VAT and report on what it will cost the
government to introduce refunds for charities.
We will be looking at Charity Law Reform and what is likely to be included
in the new legislation due next year and also at what we can learn from
our UK colleagues about donating shares to charities.
If you would like to attend please download and complete the registration
form and return it to us with payment as soon as possible.
We look forward to an informative and stimulating conference and do hope
you can join us.
